Fusion Architecture is based in Spokane, Washington and provides commercial and residential design services in Washington, Idaho, Montana and Oregon. After 11 years of experience in western and eastern Washington, Fusion Architecture was founded out of a passion for working through all stages of the construction process.  Fusion Architecture is about working not only with clients through the design process, but also forming good relationships with the contractors and builders we work with to create a positive overall project outcome.

Having worked for two nationally recognized architecture firms and spent years working in the field with large construction companies on multi-million dollar projects; Fusion Architecture is based on the premise of providing quality design services to its clients, fostering lasting relationships with the construction teams they work with and making a positive impact on the community.

Rex K. Anderson

Principal, AIA, LEED BD+C, NCARB, Ironman

Rex graduated from the University of Idaho with bachelor’s and master’s degrees in architecture in addition to an art minor.  Following graduation, Rex spent 8 years working in Seattle, five of those years were spent at MITHUN, where he learned the values of sustainability, integrated design and biophilic design.  Following the birth of their first child, Rex and his family moved to eastern Washington, near where he and his wife grew up.  Before founding Fusion Architecture in 2013, Rex spent two years working for ALSC in Spokane. In his free time, Rex enjoys spending time with his wife and two amazing daughters.  Rex has completed eight 70.3 Ironman races and two full Ironmans over the last six years.

Cierra Clark

Project Designer & Manager

Cierra Clark brings production and pragmatism to her focus on both exterior and interior design and management. With a degree in Architectural Technology from SCC and five years of work experience, Cierra develops sophisticated solutions to the spatial and functional challenges presented by the PNW commercial and residential design community. She is skilled at managing all aspects of a project, and values constant and clear communication in order to facilitate the creative process in creating spaces with soul. Her designs are timeless and durable, with appreciation for all architectural styles resulting in a striking composition. While she isn’t working, Cierra stays busy with her husband, Nathan, traveling and renovating their charming historic home and playing with their two puppies, Kenai and Koda.

Josh Tomlinson

Project Manager

Joshua’s attention to detail and passion for design excellence make him a valuable Project Manager at Fusion Architecture. Working for award winning firms for over 10 years in Seattle exposed him to an array of project types, including leading a team to design the first giant technology retail store in Latin America. His experience and knowledge are vast, and he possesses a solid understanding of building systems and document production. His love of travel and culture influence his designs; the focus is always the people and making their visions a reality. Joshua graduated with honors from Washington State University with his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Architecture. He recently relocated to Spokane to be closer to his wife’s family. Born in Alaska, he grew to love and live the great outdoors; if he’s not in the office, you will find him backpacking in the mountains or flyfishing in a local river.

Billy Danna

Project Manager

After earning his Bachelor’s in Structural Planning and Design from the University of Oklahoma, Billy Danna, initially took an alternate approach to design and pursued woodworking and robotic processes. After a year in this position, his passion for Architecture and the process of design led him back to a designer position working for a developer on projects such as religious structures, commercial mixed use, and townhomes. He then became a project manager for an operable wall company working with Architects and General Contractors to design, furnish, and install panelized systems that created adaptive spaces.

In pursuit of career goals, Billy relocated from Oklahoma to join Fusion Architecture as a Project Manager. His background and experience bring a unique and invaluable perspective to the design process; synthesizing artistry to create distinct yet attainable design solutions.

In his free time, he enjoys exploring the geography of the Pacific Northwest with his Fiancé and their dog.

Carlo Ruth

Project Architect

Carlo Ruth recently relocated to the Spokane area from Chicago, IL joining Fusion Architecture as a Project Architect. He has over twenty years of experience in the industry working for award-winning firms. His passion is seeing projects through from conception to construction. He is licensed in Washington and Illinois and graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a Bachelor of Architecture.

When he’s not in the office, Carlo spends his time enjoying the outdoors and camping with his wife and two children.

Omar Velasco Garcia

Project Manager

Since graduating from the University of Washington with a degree in Architectural Design in 2016, Omar has gained experience on buildings of various scales, from residential remodels to large, ground-up institutional projects. While working with several well-regarded firms across the Northwest, he solidified his interest in residential design and began pursuing a refined degree of knowledge in these building types.  His broad awareness of construction technology, attention to detail, and interest in the art of fabrication can be seen in all the work he has had the good fortune to pursue, the firms he has chosen to work with, and why his success has led to quick advancement in the field.

 

Paglia Gruber

Intern Architect

Paglia graduated from the University of Washington with her bachelor’s degree in architectural design. Following graduation, she spent 3 months working abroad in Italy focusing on private renovation projects and interior design. Her passion for design brought her back to Spokane to further develop a career in architecture. When she’s not in the office, she enjoys traveling, hiking, and spending time at the lake.
