Fusion Architecture is a Spokane/Coeur d’Alene area design firm specializing in custom residential, multi-family and small commercial projects. After 11 years of experience in western and eastern Washington, Fusion Architecture was founded out of a passion for working through all stages of the construction process.  Fusion Architecture is about working not only with clients through the design process, but also forming good relationships with the contractors and builders we work with to create a positive overall project outcome.


Fusion Architecture is based in Spokane, Washington and provides commercial and residential design services in Washington and Idaho. Having worked for two nationally recognized architecture firms and spent years working in the field with large construction companies on multi-million dollar projects; Fusion Architecture is based on the premise of providing quality design services to its clients, fostering lasting relationships with the construction teams they work with and making a positive impact on the community.

Rex K. Anderson

Principal, AIA, LEED BD+C, NCARB, Ironman

Rex graduated from the University of Idaho with bachelor’s and master’s degrees in architecture in addition to an art minor.  Following graduation, Rex spent 8 years working in Seattle, five of those years were spent at MITHUN, where he learned the values of sustainability, integrated design and biophilic design.  Following the birth of their first child, Rex and his family moved to eastern Washington, near where he and his wife grew up.  Before founding Fusion Architecture in 2013, Rex spent two years working for ALSC in Spokane. In his free time, Rex enjoys spending time with his wife and two amazing daughters.  Rex has completed eight 70.3 Ironman races and two full Ironmans over the last six years.

Brittani Simpson

Project Designer & Manager, IIDA

A project designer for Fusion Architecture, specializing in interiors, planning, rendering, permitting, and construction administration. Brittani graduated from Washington State University with a Bachelors of Arts degree in Interior Design and a minor in both Construction Management and Anthropology. During Brittani’s time at WSU, she studied abroad in Italy and was awarded Retail Design Institute (RDI), Student Design Competition 2019 Winner. Her retail submission placed her in second place nationally. Since joining Fusion Architecture, Brittani has developed the interior department and created a material library in the office. Prior to her role as project designer, Brittani worked as an interior design lead at Uptic Studios where she learned the importance of the clients experience by better managing and exploring the space available in the proposed environment. She is a dedicated mother and designer with a passion for creating spaces that adapt and celebrate this region we call home.

Cierra Clark

Project Designer & Manager

Cierra Meachem brings production and pragmatism to her focus on both exterior and interior design and management. With a degree in Architectural Technology from SCC and five years of work experience, Cierra develops sophisticated solutions to the spatial and functional challenges presented by the PNW commercial and residential design community. She is skilled at managing all aspects of a project, and values constant and clear communication in order to facilitate the creative process in creating spaces with soul. Her designs are timeless and durable, with appreciation for all architectural styles resulting in a striking composition. While she isn’t working, Cierra stays busy with her husband, Nathan, traveling and renovating their charming historic home and playing with their two puppies, Kenai and Koda.

Josh Tomlinson

Project Manager

Joshua’s attention to detail and passion for design excellence make him a valuable Project Manager at Fusion Architecture. Working for award winning firms for over 10 years in Seattle exposed him to an array of project types, including leading a team to design the first giant technology retail store in Latin America. His experience and knowledge are vast, and he possesses a solid understanding of building systems and document production. His love of travel and culture influence his designs; the focus is always the people and making their visions a reality. Joshua graduated with honors from Washington State University with his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Architecture. He recently relocated to Spokane to be closer to his wife’s family. Born in Alaska, he grew to love and live the great outdoors; if he’s not in the office, you will find him backpacking in the mountains or flyfishing in a local river.

Meet Kimberly Lick, Interior designer

Interior Designer

Kimberly graduated from Washington State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Interior Design, a secondary bachelor’s degree in Fine Art, and a Museum Exhibitions minor. During Kimberly’s time at WSU, she studied abroad in Paris and solo traveled through Ireland, Scotland, and Amsterdam to study art and experience architecture in other parts of the world.
Kimberly is most interested in how spaces and the environment (lighting, color, biophilia, wayfinding) can affect people. She uses these principles to design and create positive spaces for people to thrive/live/learn/heal in. 
Kimberly spends her free time sketching, painting, taking photos, crafting, hiking and paddleboarding. Her personal goal is to study Japanese and then travel throughout Japan one day.

Kasey Kuhn

Administrative Director

With nearly ten years in a managerial and directorial role in the architecture and design world, Kasey’s business background melded with her experience in the industry brings a great understanding of this business, the processes, and operations. Born and raised in Omaha, NE, her family relocated to Spokane; she attended Gonzaga Prep and continued on to college at Gonzaga University. After graduating with a B.A. in Business Management and Marketing, she followed her love of travel, art, and language to Montreal, where she studied French at McGill University and soaked in the culture and beauty of the city. Her next big stop was Boston, MA. After years away, she returned to Spokane to continue her pursuit of satisfying a business mind in a creative world; architecture was her calling. She joined Fusion Architecture after the recent birth of her second daughter. Her daughters and husband keep her busy and they spend their time in the great outdoors of the PNW.
